The Haskins Society Journal presents papers from leading scholars on aspects of the political and social history of the Western European world, through the Viking age and the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms to the break-up of the Carolingian state in the mid 13th century. The principal focus is on the British Isles, and on matters relating to developments in Britain. The articles are derived in the main, but not exclusively from, papers presented at the annual meetings of the Charles Homer Haskins Society, complemented by specially commissioned studies.
