This Cambridge Elements series publishes original concise volumes on problems related to God—the human quest for God or gods, contemplation of God, and even the critique and rejection of God. Since “the problems of God” theme is not confined to a particular academic field or domain of life, the series covers a variety of problems in a variety of areas. Current areas of focus are: problems of God in Eastern and non-Western religious traditions; in the academic disciplines; in practical, social, and cultural issues; in literature, art, and film; exhibited in the lives of great thinkers. Problematizing God in numerous ways generates titles that are creative, interesting, and important, appealing to students, instructors, and researchers alike. Among the many fields represented in the series are philosophy, theology, religious studies, natural and social sciences, history, literature, art and many more. The volumes are perfect as supplemental texts for courses or central texts in topical and even interdisciplinary seminars.
