The authors have identified a mistake in Figure 2 of the published manuscript: the order of four estimates were wrongly placed in the first forest plot in Figure 2 (men) which were inconsistent with the numerical estimates presented on the right side (i.e., Kodesh 2012, Crupm 2013, Laursen 2013, and Laursen 2013). We have revised the Figure 2 immediately by correcting the order of the four estimates plotted in forest plot. The amended Figure 2 is attached below.

Fig. 2 Meta-analysis on life expectancy in bipolar disorder.

a Unreported variance was extrapolated from studies with reported standard errors including Chang et al (2011),11 Fekadu et al. (2015),15 Kessing et al. (2015),17 Pan et al. (2020),18 Das-munshi et al. (2020),19 and Iturralde et al. (2021).21

b Data of cohort in Finland in Laursen et al. (2013)14 is presented.

c Data of cohort in Sweden in Laursen et al. (2013)14 is presented.

d Data of 2005 cohort in Pan et al. (2020)18 is presented.

e Data of 2010 cohort in Pan et al. (2020)18 is presented.
