With the current issue of AJS Review, Miriam Bodian of the University of Texas at Austin concludes her term of appointment as book review editor. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Miriam for her outstanding service to the journal. Her dedication and stewardship have ensured the availability of substantive, insightful, and timely reviews of books in the full range of scholarly fields of interest to our readers. Miriam's commitment to excellence in carrying out her responsibilities has enhanced the journal's reputation for scholarship of the highest quality and we thank her as she moves on to new ventures.

On Miriam Bodian's recommendation and in light of the upsurge of scholarly works in Jewish studies, the editorial team has decided to restructure the position of book review editor by dividing it into three positions. We do this not only to lessen the load on any one individual but also to bring a wider range of expertise to the table when identifying books suitable for inclusion in the journal's book review section. To that end, we are happy to announce the appointment of Joel Kaminsky of Smith College, who will serve as book review editor for books in Bible and ancient Judaism, Francesca Bregoli of CUNY–Queens College, who will serve as book review editor for books in the medieval and early modern periods, and Jay Geller of Case Western Reserve University, who will serve as book review editor for books in modern Jewish studies.

We look forward to working together towards our common goal of serving the Jewish studies field by publishing first-rate scholarship and reviews that reflect the diverse interests of the AJS Review's readership.
