Jason Decker

• Jason Decker is Professor of Philosophy at Carleton College, is the author of several papers on the epistemic significance of disagreement, the semantics of English conditionals, and the validity (or invalidity) of modus ponens. He also has strong interests in the philosophy of mind, metaethics, and just about everything else.

Charles Taliaferro

• Charles Taliaferro is Professor of Philosophy at St. Olaf College, is the author or co-author of several books, including The Image in Mind, co-authored with Jil Evans (Continuum, 2011) and co-editor of Turning Images in Science, Philosophy, and Religion, co-edited with Jil Evans (Oxford University Press, 2011).

Stephen Buckle

• Stephen Buckle teaches philosophy at the Australian Catholic University in Sydney. He is the author of Hume's Enlightenment Tract (Oxford University Press, 2001) and the editor of David Hume, An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding and Other Writings (Cambridge University Press, 2007).

Alice Crary

• Alice Crary is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the New School for Social Research. Her submission to the journal is an extract from a book she is writing on human beings, animals, and ethics.

Neil Manson

• Neil C. Manson studied philosophy in London (BA, MPhil) and Oxford (DPhil). From 1998 to 2005 he had two research fellowships at King's College Cambridge. He is currently Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at Lancaster University. His current research interests are in the ethics of communication and knowledge: a broad field which includes issues to do with privacy, consent, deception, and ‘spin’.

Mikel Burley

• Mikel Burley is Lecturer in Religion and Philosophy at the University of Leeds. He is the author of Contemplating Religious Forms of Life: Wittgenstein and D.Z. Phillips (Continuum, forthcoming) and two books related to Hindu philosophy. He is also co-editor of a forthcoming volume entitled Language, Ethics and Animal Life: Wittgenstein and Beyond.

Lloyd Reinhardt

• Lloyd Reinhardt is Senior Lecturer and currently Research Associate in Philosophy at Sydney University. He previously taught at Universities of Keele, London, California (Santa Barbara). He holds visiting positions at Warwick, Canterbury, London, and lives in the Blue Mountains, outside of Sydney.
