The Association for Jewish Studies and the AJS Review editors and editorial board extend their condolences to the family of Professor Yaakov Elman, long-time member of our editorial board, who passed away on July 29, 2018. May his memory be a blessing.

Note on Changes to Our Submission Process

Beginning January 1, 2019, all article submissions to AJS Review should be submitted as an MS Word document through an online submission portal, which will be found at https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/AJSReview.

Submission instructions and requirements will be provided as you submit, and authors can also consult the journal's Instructions for Contributors on the journal website at http://cambridge.org/AJS. Peer reviewers will also be solicited and return reports through the online portal.

Any submissions already under review at the launch of the new portal will continue to be handled by direct contact with the managing editor at .

Book reviews will not be a part of the new submission process and will continue to be solicited and received via email by our book review editors.
