In the above article (Scemes et al., Reference Scemes, Suadicani, Dahl and Spray2007) Fig. 1A was incorrectly attributed to Duffy et al. (Reference Duffy, John, Lee, Brosnan and Spray2000), whereas we had intended to reproduce Fig. 3A inset from our study of human astrocytes. The published Fig. 1A is copied from Rash et al. (Reference Rash, Duffy, Dudek, Bilhartz, Whalen and Yasumura1997).

The authors deeply regret this error and any confusion that may have resulted from it.
