In spite of the changing fortunes of the dialogue between Marxists and Christians, there is no doubt that it remains a permanent fixture on the horizon of mankind's hopes. The publication of the four books under scrutiny here is testimony to the continuing importance of the Marxist- Christian dialogue, both as a matter of pragmatic importance to the future of man and as a matter meriting serious intellectual consideration.
