The herbicide isopropyl N–(3–chlorophenyl)carbamate (CIPC) has been found to be effective in controlling annual grasses when applied as a pre-emergence treatment. This herbicide is also very effective in controlling chickweed (1, 9, 12) and grasses in dormant alfalfa (11).
