I hope that you will bear with me because I am just one of these statisticians who does not know anything about business and industry and, consequently, it is perfectly obvious that my approach is rather an academic one. However, I have come here to talk to a document which you now have in front of you, and I would like to work through it and talk a little more than is given on the paper about some of the points which arise as we proceed.
