9 While the piece is convincing on the violin, I would love to hear it on the instrument it was written for, the Hardanger fiddle, with the additional resonance of its four sympathetic strings. Bång composed the work for Liv Merete Kroken, premiered at ULTIMA Oslo in 2003.
