The recent commissioning of the 327 MHz (or P band) system at the NRAO Very Large Array opens the possibility for a new search for the 21 cm of H I redshifted to z ≈ 3.3 and perhaps observing the birth of galaxies as initially suggested by Sunyaev and Zel'dovich (1972, 1975). We present and discuss the results of our first observing run in January 1986, and report on the progress on our second run in April 1987.
