Constraints on Galactic Infall from Studies of Chemical Evolution
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 03 August 2017
Abstract
It is shown that, in order to reproduce the observational properties of our Galaxy, models of galactic chemical evolution require a conspicuous amount of gas falling on the disk with very slow time decay. The constraints on the characteristics of this gas derived from the models are presented.
