El señor Guillaume Bordier, ex vicepresidente y miembro honorario del CICR, fallecio en Ginebra, el 9 de julio de 1982.
El señor G. Bordier nació en Ginebra, el año 1901, donde cursó sus primeros estudios; luego estudió en la Escuela Politécnica Federal de Zurich, donde obtuvo el título de ingeniero; estudió dos años de Economía en los Estados Unidos, donde obtuvo, en 1929, el diploma de « Master of Business Administration » por la Universidad de Harvard. Tras su regreso a Ginebra, ocupó el Cargo de apoderado y luego de asociado del Banco Bordier y Cía; fue miembro de la Asociación Suiza de Banqueros y de numerosos consejos de administración de sociedades comerciales.
