3 One of his favorite targets among modem historians, Giuseppe Maranini, is a rather easy mark. According to a personal communication from Professor John Adams, former labor attaché to the United States Embassy in Rome during the late 1940's, Maranini was one of the most retrograde of the Fascist ideologues.
