In this issue, we complete our retrospective papers. Part 1, Volume 64(3), contained a number of obituaries, reminiscences, and also the history of some techniques. In Part 2, we highlight some important applications of radiocarbon measurements and their current status. These include the use of radiocarbon in global ocean circulation studies, marine organic and inorganic carbon, radiocarbon in the atmosphere and various atmospheric processes. We also have several papers related to radiocarbon studies of the beautiful Plitvice Lakes in Croatia, reservoir effects in Chinese lakes and some archaeological studies. A review of early man in the Americas and a comment, highlighting the on-going debate on this subject, round out the issue.
