The authors regret the inclusion of an error in their article ‘Associations between depression and cardiometabolic health: A 27-year longitudinal study.’
Participants were only included in these analyses if they had provided data at the first and third waves of the Vietnam Era Twin Study of Aging (VETSA), as well as during the Harvard Twin Study of Substance Abuse. Participants who did not provide data during the first, baseline wave of VETSA but who later provided data (i.e., attrition-replacement participants) were excluded from these analyses. The exclusion of these participants (n = 171) from the analyses was inadvertent and due to a data cleaning error. We believe that the published analyses and results remain valid when interpreted as reflecting participants who provided data at these three timepoints, but acknowledge that these inclusion criteria were stricter than explicitly stated in the methods section of the article.
