page 451 note * Since writing the above, Mr. Franks has been kind enough to point out a fibula in the British Museum which confirms this conclusion. It is from the Temple collection, and was found in Southern Italy. Though of merely stout copper wire and perfectly plain, it is of the same conformation as our Agram fibula, and exactly of the same dimensions.
