III.—The Law of Blackening of the Photographic Plate at Low Densities. (Second Paper.)
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 15 September 2014
Extract
In a previous paper the relation between the illumination I on a panchromatic plate, the duration t of the exposure, the wave-length λ of the light, and the resulting density D of the deposit on the developed plate was investigated.

page 48 note † The Wratten process emulsion used by Jones, Huse, and Hall gives, however, exceptionally low values for p. Thus, in their experiments, the value of p corresponding to an exposure of 30 seconds is about 0·6, whereas the batch of Ilford process plates used by the writer gave the value 0·95.
