page 759 note * A modification of this rule, in certain cases, was agreed to at a Meeting of the Society held onthe 3rd January 1831.

At the Meeting of the Society, on the 5th January 1857, when the reduction of the Contributions from £3, 3s. to £2, 2s., from the 11th to the 25th year of membership, was adopted, it was resolved that the existing Members shall share in this reduction, so far as regards their futureannual Contributions.
