Published online by Cambridge University Press: 01 January 1957
Extract
In a paper read some years ago before this Association, Thurston Dart included Okeover's name amongst those whom he described as almost unknown. It is my purpose to attempt to throw some light on this musician's activities and career.

25 Ff 39r-41r of the Bassus Part Book. E. H. Fellowes, English Cathedral Music, London, 1941, p. 111, appears to have been mistaken in stating that Hunt was organist of Wells. Oker is designated organist (f. 40r). Neither John E. West (Cathedral Organists, London, 1921), A. J. Jewers (cf. footnote 22 above) nor the relevant volume of the Historical MSS Commission has any reference to Hunt.Google Scholar
