The impact of claw horn lesions and digital dermatitis on dairy cows’ performance

Foot and leg problems are a major health and welfare concern for the dairy industry. Lameness is believed to be a major economic cost, due to lost performance and premature culling. The aim of this study was to look at the two most prevalent foot problems within the Langhill dairy herd and assess the predisposing factors and its impact on the cow’s performance.
