Betain is trimethyl glycerine a methyl donor compound that can reduce other required methyl donors such as methionine and choline. Methionine is an essential amino acid with must not be used for methyl donor in metabolism. Also choline is an important precursor of acetyl choline which is necessary for nervous system and it is better to use choline for other function than methyl donor activity of it. Therefore, the object of this study was evaluation of reducing DL-methionine and choline chloride in broiler diets supplemented with betaine.
