The sonographer adds gel to the ultrasound probe
And begins exploring the inner fold of my elbow
With each glide, a small constellation unfolds
Prominent are the many moons
Whose craters serve as resting places
For reservoirs of life

Throughout the exploration
The sonographer reminds me
That it’s hard to feel insignificant
When we are filled with transportation systems
That transcend galaxies
