The Assessment of the National Institute's Forecasts of GDP, 1959-82

The Review has been appearing now for almost twenty five years. The assessments it has contained of the short-term prospects for the domestic economy have become progressively more quantitative and detailed, but have included from the beginning an explicit forecast of total output at least a year into the future.
