Abstract

Orphella catalaunica and O. helicospora spp. nov. both from the hindgut of stonefly (Leuctra) nymphs from Spain, are described and illustrated. They are compared with the other species of the genus. Orphella haysii is reported for the first time in Europe. The generic description of Orphella is emended to accommodate the new characters described for the new species. A dichotomous key for separating the species is provided.
