Abstract

Cultures derived from ascospores of an Orbilia, described as a new species, O. fimicoloides, from small mammal droppings, developed conidia of Dactylella cf. oxyspora. This connection is discussed in relation to the anamorph–teleomorph connections of nematophagous fungi classified in the anamorph genera Arthrobotrys and Dactylella.
