Quantum Critical Phenomena in the Ni S2−xSex System
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 18 March 2011
Abstract
Electrical conductivity experiments on NiS2−xSex (x = 0.45) subjected to moderate pressure in the 30 – 800 mK range permit the investigation of quantum critical phenomena in this system. Detailed data are presented in the context of standard theories of correlation effects in the vicinity of a critical point. The critical exponents pertaining to these effects have been evaluated; the significance of these findings require further study.
