The Effects of Aromaticity and Reduced Bond Length Alternation on Linear and Third-Order Polarizabilities of Conjugated Organic Chromophores
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 01 January 1992
Abstract
The geometries, the linear (α) and third-order (γ) polarizabilities of several bipolaron model compounds and cyanines are computed using the semi-empirical AM1 parameterization. The effects of aromaticity, charge localization and bond length alternation are considered.
