Distribution Function, Density and Hydrogen Content of Amorphous, Diamond-Like, Carbon Films Obtained by X-Ray and Neutron Scattering
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 22 February 2011
Abstract
The structure of amorphous, diamond-like carbon films is described by the distribution function, obtained by X-ray scattering experiments. In particular the nearest neighbor distance and the average coordination number are determined. A combination of specular reflectivity of neutrons and X-rays enables us to measure not only the mass density, but also the concentration of hydrogen in the films, which varies in our case between 0 and 30 at. %.
