Abstract

Spectroscopic temperature measurements of spraying plasma jets (produced by D.C. arcs) are studied (equilibrium conditions, influence of the surrounding environment of plasma jets at 1 atm). For solid particles in flight in these jets are presented the measurement methods of surface temperature, particle vapors densities and excitation temperatures. The “limitation of these measurements are discussed and examples are given.
