Statistical Theory on Polymer Liquid Crystals
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 10 February 2011
Abstract
Based on common molecular model, polymer liquid crystals of hard-rod and flexible main-chain are studied statistical mechanically. The hard-core repulsion and also the attractive potentials are assumed between molecules. The nematic-isotropic phase transitions, and molecular orientations at interfaces in polymers and polymer-liquid crystal composite systems are discussed.
