Abstract

The Loviisa low and intermediate level radioactive waste repository is located in southern Finland, at Loviisa NPP site on Hästholmen island, where two VVER-440 reactor units are operated by Imatran Voima Oy (IVO). The repository is excavated in the bedrock, 110 meters below the sea level.
