A Non-Thermal Vacancy-Drift Mechanism of Plastic Deformation of Grains in Ceramics During Microwave Sintering
Published online by Cambridge University Press: 15 February 2011
Abstract
The plastic deformation of grains is shown to take place due to the vacancy drift perturbations caused by space charge formation in the near-surface layer and by surface permeability asymmetry with respect to the direction of the motion of atoms through it.
