1 This table and the Meso-American one, No. 6, will be found to contain some minor discrepancies and simplifications of nomenclature or dating as compared with the originals which are reproduced as Tables 1 and 4, and in the text respectively on pp. 6, 103, and 105-11. The differences are partly due to condensations on my part in combining independent tabulations. Partly they are due to sketchy presentation of tabular findings by authors during oral delivery, or to subsequent revision in manuscript. Check made in galley proof indicates that none of the discrepancies touches points of fundamental concept. Cf. also Armillas, Fn. 11, p. 108.
