With this issue, MEDICOLEGAL NEWS inaugurates a number of new features and a new internal appearance intended to give our readers the type of articles and information believed of interest to the many persons concerned with medicolegal problems. To improve this service, the comments and suggestions of our readership are earnestly sought. Additionally, guest editorials are invited and in this area, Leonard Berlin, M.D., a successful countersuitor and participant at the recent Controversies in Law & Medicine symposium, leads off with a response to last issue's article entitled, The Physician Countersuit: More Than Having To Say You're Sorry. Other new features include, Medicolegal Update, a regularly planned column designed to bring relevant developments in medicolegal areas to the attention of MEDICOLEGAL NEWS readers, and Hospital Forum, edited by James F. Holzer, J.D., formerly MEDICOLEGANLE WS Managing Editor. In this column, Mr. Holzer will address timely legal issues and developments affecting the hospital and its personnel.
