The Saddle-Points of the Confluent Hypergeometric Function M(a, b; x)

Abstract

This paper demonstrates the existence of an infinity of saddle-points of the function and gives a method of evaluating them suitable for automatic computation. A table of about 100 points is given to 5 decimal places.
