The author of the above paper regrets an error in Theorem 2.7 on page 374, where a quadratic form subject to constraints is incorrectly optimized. If $\gamma$ is non-integer, then there exist non-equidistributed sequences with $\gamma$ -PPC.

The error does not affect any of the other results in the paper.
