Abstract

Suppose [Cscr ] and [Cscr ]′ are two sets of simple closed curves on a hyperbolic surface F. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a pseudo-Anosov map g such that g([Cscr ]) ≅ [Cscr ]′.
