Occurrence of Tranquebar scallop Volachlamys tranquebaria in Vellar estuary, south-east coast of India

Abstract
The first occurrence of the Tranquebar scallop Volachlamys tranquebaria in the Vellar estuary, south-east coast of India is reported with photographs.
