A new species of Schistophoron from India

Abstract

Schistophoron indicum, a new lichen species, is described from India. It is characterized by lirellate mazaediate ascomata and dark brown, broadly ellipsoid to subglobose, bilocular to tetralocular-submuriform, smooth-walled, small ascospores.
