Abstract

A sterile, sorediate, corticolous, crustose lichen from Central Sweden is tentatively assigned to the genus Buellia as B. violaceofusca sp. nov. It grows on the bark of old trunks of Quercus robur in moist, dense woods dominated by that tree.
