To mark the twentieth year of publication of the Report of the Society for Libyan Studies, selective bibliographies have been compiled of publications of ancient art and architecture in Tripolitania (H. Walda) and Cyrenaica (S. Walker). Particular attention has been given to sculpture and architecture of the Punic, Greek and Roman periods. Byzantine and Islamic works are regretfully excluded. Brief overviews of the direction of recent research precede the bibliographies. To conform with the ‘house style’ of Libyan Studies, the bibliographies have been edited using the Harvard reference system.
