This issue marks our last set of editorial tasks. Co-editing The Law and Society Review has been a rich experience. We have had the opportunity to work with a great team, as our editorials from the last few issues detail. We have witnessed firsthand the richness of law and society scholarship. Indeed, during our tenure as co-editors, we have seen the field expand to include a broader substantive and geographic range of study. This development is encouraging and promises a journal that will continue to grow in readership and reputation.

This issue in your hands, or on your computer screen, right now is strong. It begins with a focused collection of essays on law and disability. The introduction to this special issue follows this note. Disability studies is an expanding area of research, one that pushes the traditions of law and society to be more inclusive, relevant, and nuanced. We are very pleased to host this set of papers.

The second half of the issue is taken up by 8 other papers, each focused on methodological complex and insightful topics. Together, they too demonstrate the breadth and maturity of this field of scholarship.

The Law & Society Review now passes fully into the hands of the new editor, Rebecca Sandefur, and her team of editorial associates. The community of law and society scholars is fortunate to have such talented and capable leadership at the helm of this flagship journal.
