Abstract

The penetration of the long-focused monochromatic radiation pulse into plasma whose density is much higher than critical has been modeled by simultaneous solution wave equation for the field and the gasdynamics equations for plasma in 2D axial symmetric case. The method and computation results are presented showing the effect of quasiwaveguide propagation of a pulse into plasma to a depth sufficiently exceeding the wavelength.
