page 170 note 1 “Life” is ḫayye. The word for salvation is purḳānā.

page 171 note 1 The more usual expression for Giver of Life is maḳyānā, lit. “he who causes to live”, but yāhēb ḳayye is found also. The latter expression occurs in fact in the Syriac text before us (p. 212): “While he might have said, It is I who give Life” (so Mingana, , p. 76Google Scholar; but we might translate, “It is I who am the Giver of Life”).

page 171 note 2 1 Corinthians v, 11. These readings are not mentioned by A. Plummer in his Commentary on I Corinthians in ICC.

page 172 note 1 On p. 77 (S., p. 213) is translated “Old Testament”. Should it not be “Old Covenant”?
