1 Ibe as the transcription of the first element is that generally preferred, but Ine-Tutu is also possible, as given in the Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society for October, 1903, p. 843. The text published by Weissbach, which is there referred to, shows that ‘ the land of the sea’ was at one time ruled by a Kassite dynasty.
