Civil Aviation Hazards

This is a new subject, and it is with some diffidence that I bring it before the Institute for discussion. We are treading in unfamiliar ways and the pitfalls are many. Aviation hazard is, however, a problem that is daily assuming more and more importance in our business, and it is one that we shall have to face.

page 9 note * N.B. After the date of the discussion the Air Ministry furnished the author with further statistics from which it was clear that the figures supplied included only a small proportion of air-taxi flying and related almost entirely to short trips of 5 or 10 minutes.
