1 My discussion of Maximus (Anatolian Studies presented to W. H. Buckler, 333 ff.), based on an article by Groag, had not become accessible to the author when he wrote; I am glad to find that we agree in our rejection of the Attalea inscription (SEG vi, 650) as evidence for the corrector. Groag's work is, as might be expected, remarkably accurate, though I have noted a few mis-spellings (e.g. σημνότητι for σεμνότητι in col. 80, πόποτε for πώποτε in col, 128),. wrong accents (e.g. χάλκισ in col. 18. “Ελλαδι in cols. 98, 165) and other typographical slips. In col. 28 a reference should be added to the new edition of IG iv, 934, namely IG iv ed. min. 80.
