Rayleigh—Taylor problem for a Hall plasma

Abstract

Recent calculations for hydromagnetic analogues of the classical Rayleigh– Taylor problem with Hall effect are compared. It is shown that an early calculation is the limiting situation of the work of Taiwar & Kaira, which confirms that the Hall effect introduces new instabilities.
